Food Day Challenge 2014

Emulating Earth Day, Food Day was created to celebrate and raise awareness about good food. At Lilly’s Table we believe every meal and every bite is an opportunity to celebrate the real, sustainable goodness that we grow, prepare and consume. What a better time to celebrate than through Food Day!

Challenge yourself for 14 days as we dive into the many ways you can eat at home to support the five Food Day priorities:

  • Promoting safer, healthier diets
  • Support sustainable & organic farms
  • Reduce hunger
  • Reform factory farms to protect the environment
  • Support fair working conditions for food & farm workers

The challenge officially starts on October 16th, which is also World Food Day through the national Food Day on October 24th ending on the 29th. Mark your calendar!

With the Food Day priorities as our guide, every day you will receive an email that will support you on your journey and encourage you to bring Food Day into your own daily life by taking actions to become a consumer who is consciously eating for peace. This year I am excited to welcome friends who will share their own perspectives on how to source, eat and cook for the well-being of all.
