Crab Wontons with Veggies and Brown Rice

Start by cooking the brown rice. Next, saute the onions & chard and prepare the wontons. Slice up the stir-fry veggies. Pan-fry or broil the wontons. While the wontons cook, saute up the stir fry. Serve altogether, while hot and steamy.

There are several methods for preparing rice. Brown rice especially is a bit more time consuming as it still contains the nutrient packed outer grain. This recipe contains three different methods for preparing brown rice. Try them out and stick with the one that produces the rice just the way you like it.

These methods can work for long, short, medium or other types of brown rice.

A favorite Chinese-American greasy appetizer is given a lift with sauteed greens & onions. The creamy cheese and crab remain. Either pan fry the wonton wraps or rub on a bit of oil and bake instead.
