Pate & Marmalade Sandwich

from Pate Sandwiches with Lemon Spinach Salad, the Week of March 4, 2012.
View the previous or next recipe for this meal.

The unique flavors of pate & marmalade play off of each other to create a most delightful sandwich. Since there are only four ingredients be sure to use the best you can find. Make a simple pate from scratch, buy it in a specialty grocer, or buy the “poor-man’s pate” of liverwurst. Similarly for the marmalade, winter is a great time to make or buy it fresh.

Ingredients

  • 6 inch pieces french bread, whole grain or white
  • 1 tablespoon marmalade
  • 1 cup arugula, or spinach or mache
  • 2 tablespoons pate, homemade or liverwurst

Serving Size: 1 Person

Preparation Instructions

Wash & dry the greens.

Slice the french bread lengthwise.

Spread the pate on one side, the marmalade on the other. Fill with the greens and sandwich together.
