Apples, Cheese & Nuts

A favorite combination for a quick lunch or snack. This is probably too simple to call a recipe, but if it puts a healthy meal in your lunch sack it is worth it. Toss in a few crackers and it will be a healthier version of the over priced lunchables.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces cheddar cheese, or your favorite cheese
  • ¼ cup almond
  • 1 apple, washed and dried

Serving Size: 1 Person

Preparation Instructions

Slice the cheese. Cut the apple into slices removing the core and stem. Serve with the nuts. Package individually to take to go or plate and serve.

Extra Tip:
If packaging the apple to go, toss with a teaspoon of lemon juice which will help preserve the color and delay browning.
