Grilled Shrimp

To cook shrimp you basically drop it on the grill, flip and serve in just mere minutes. Threading these succulent little guys onto wooden skewers will guarantee they don’t drop through any grates.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces shrimp, large, peeled with tail-on
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 lemon, optional

Serving Size: 2 People



 

Preparation Instructions

Rinse the shrimp making sure to remove any shells and the black vein in the center. To remove the vein, simple slice in and pull it out. Tweezers are helpful. Pat the shrimp dry.

Heat the barbeque or grill pan over high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them for about 10-20 minutes.

Toss the cleaned up shrimp in a bowl with the olive oil, salt and pepper. If they are large enough, drop them directly onto the grill. If not, skewer them on to the kebab sticks spread out slightly and place on the barbecue.

Cook only 1-2 minutes, until it is pink on the hot side, flip over and cook 1-2 more minutes until cooked through.

Squeeze lemon juice on at the end to finish.
