Winter

Winter Fruit Salad with a Hint of Lime

Mix, match and toss ’em together. Any winter fruits will do including: local apples & pears, persimmons & citrus which may travel a distance for you to enjoy and a bit of tropical fruits such as pineapple and shreds of coconut. They are all brought together with simple lime and honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, washed and dried
  • 1 pear, washed and dried
  • 1 persimmon, fuyu, washed and dried
  • 1 orange, or 2 small clementines or cuties
  • 1 pineapple, small, approximately 2 cups of chunks
  • 1 lime, zest and juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey, or agave nectar
  • ½ cup coconut, thick shreds

Serving Size: 4 People



 

Preparation Instructions

Cut the apple, pear, and persimmon in half. Cut or scoop out the center cores and remove the stems. Cut into thin bite size pieces.

Segment the orange slices and cut in half or pieces.

Cut the pineapple in half, cut out the core. Slice into chunks, about 1 inch thick.

Whisk together the lime juice and honey. Toss onto the fruit with the coconut shards and lime zest.

Serve at room temperature. Store extras in the fridge.
