Just a sweet dusting with lemon...

from Matzah Brei with Lemon & Sugar, the Week of April 6, 2014.
View the next recipe for this meal.

Lemon, juiced, with a sprinkle of powdered sugar- to accompany crepes, french toast, pancakes and more…

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

This is not really a recipe, but rather a reminder to make sure you have plenty of powdered sugar and fresh lemons ready to go for a treat that needs just a sweet lemony dusting…

Now, be sure to double check your powdered sugar is actually powdered sugar. We have been known to accidently grab the cornstarch, which is not really tasty for this use. Actually it is gross and my poor sister has terrible memories of a beautifully prepared and then ruined crepe.

Cut your lemon into wedges for everyone to squeeze their own. A shaker for the powdered sugar makes it a bit easier, but a bowl and spoon work well too.
