Gremolata

Lemon, herbs, and garlic are mashed and chopped into submission to be sprinkled a top anything that needs a little kiss of extra flavor. Use the herbs available to you, such as basil, parsley, sorrel, tarragon, mint, rosemary or more. Let you garden be your guide.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon-zest
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Serving Size: 2 People



 

Preparation Instructions

Smash the clove of garlic with the back of your knife this will also loosen the skin, making it easier to discard. Sprinkle on some of the salt. Smash it again and then mince up the garlic into a paste.

Stack up the herbs and finely chop.

If you do not have a microplane available to zest the lemon, peel the citrus with a vegetable peeler and then finely chop the zest.

Combine the three with the remaining salt. Sprinkle generously on main dishes and sides that need a boost of flavor.
