View the previous recipe for this meal.

The creamy spread is delightful in sandwiches packed with lettuce, sprouts or shreds of vegetables. Make up the cream ahead, prepare all of the fillings, pack individually and then make the sandwich just prior to eating.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ cup greek yogurt, or strained yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon shallot, minced
  • ½ cup smoked trout
  • ½ cup sprouts, washed and dried
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread, or your favorite gluten-free bread

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Blend together the cream cheese, greek yogurt, and shallot in a food processor or by hand. Fold in the smoked trout.

Wash and dry the sprouts, lettuce and carrots.

Spread the creamy spread on one side of the bread. Top with the veggies. Sandwich together.
