Simmer up the cranberry sauce if not already done. Mince up all of the ingredients for the kale salad. Slice the ingredients for the sandwich, stack up and enjoy immediately or take on the go. Use gluten-free bread if necessary.

Cranberry Cherry Syrah Sauce

Syrah wine is reduced with fresh cranberries and dried cherries. The sauce pairs perfectly with a turkey dinner. It also works well drizzled on beef, fish, or brie cheese. It is even spectacular dolloped on chocolate cake or ice cream, too.

There is an almost dry, intriguing texture to this flavorful salad. If you prefer it a bit ‘wetter’ add in more of the orange juice & olive oil, but sample it in its ‘dry’ state first to see what you think.

Store bought roast beef or leftovers from a homemade roast beef are paired with a layer of cranberry sauce, such as our Cranberry Cherry Syrah Sauce and a yogurt-blue cheese spread. Just a few greens liven up the center, but if you love sweet onions a few slices would work here as well.
