Apple Pecan Granola

Sweetened with applesauce, this granola is not too sweet with crunchy clumps. Add in a handful of dried apples and extra nuts if you like. If you are especially sensitive to gluten, buy gluten-free specific oatmeal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon molasses, optional
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup pecan, crumbled in pieces

Serving Size: 8 People

Preparation Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325.
Whisk together the applesauce, oil, honey, and spices in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted together

Spread oatmeal in baking pan. Drizzle & glop all over. Fold & stir until well combined. Place half on another baking sheet if the layer is thicker then 1 inch.

Bake for 20 minutes. Flip over granola in large pieces and continue baking 15-20 more minutes until fairly dried out. Turn off the oven and cool in there.

Package and store on your countertop for a week or in your fridge for up to a month.
