Grilled Sweet Potato Fries

from Zucchini Quinoa Burgers with Grilled Sweet Potato Fries & Kale Chips, the Week of August 5, 2012.
View the previous or next recipe for this meal.

Grilling sweet potatoes on each side makes for an easy healthy ‘french fry’ to put along burgers and other fry worthy main dishes. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into thick fry wedges. Heat the grill on medium-high. Toss the wedges with the olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Reduce the temperature to medium if using a gas grill. Lay on the grill and sear on each side until grill marks appear and the fries are tender. Usually about 8-12 minutes on each side.
