Recipe Detail

Fall

Maple Cream Cheese

from Pumpkin Muffins with Maple Cream Cheese, the Week of October 27, 2013.
View the next recipe for this meal.

Almost a frosting, but with significantly less sugar, not too mention missing any weird additives & chemicals. Perfect to spread on toast, bagels, spiced muffins, cupcakes, waffles, pancakes, or cornbread. Since it is just lightly kissed with maple syrup it will help lower the glycemic level on a sweeter breakfast selection.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon butter, salted, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup, or more to taste if you like it sweeter

Serving Size: 6 People

Preparation Instructions

Whip together the cream cheese and butter. Drizzle in the maple syrup, adding pour to taste if desired.
