Eggs & Ham

from Mascarpone Creamed Spinach, Eggs & Ham, the Week of December 29, 2013.
View the next recipe for this meal.

A simple dish of protein pairs well with a variety of savory, vegetable packed sides. Use farm fresh eggs and a smoky pasture raised slice of ham— if possible.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice ham
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon butter, unsalted

Serving Size: 1 Person

Preparation Instructions

Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the ham on each side for 4-6 minutes.

Scoot the ham to one side and melt the butter in the other.

Crack in the egg. Flip over if desired or add a splash of water and cover with a lid for 2-5 minutes until the yolk is as cooked or raw as you prefer. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and black pepper if desired.

Serve together.
