Marinate the steak. Prepare the broccoli & oranges. Using a large pot that will also cook the noodles, steam the broccoli florets in a couple of cups of water. Scoop out the broccoli and fill the pot with more water for the noodles, cover with a lid and place on high heat. Once it is boiling, toss in the noodles. Start to sear the steak as soon as the noodles go in to the pot. Cook quickly on each side and then add the broccoli and sauce. Ideally, the noodles and stir-fry will be done simultaneously, but if not, keep each dish warm until they are both ready. Serve separate or tossed together.

Broccoli-Orange Beef Stir Fry

We used blood oranges to give it a bit more of a jewel tone, but any sweet orange will do for this stir fry. Substitute chicken tenders or make it vegan with seiten or tempeh. Serve over hot and steamy brown rice or even long noodles.

Sesame Soba Noodles

Enjoy these slick noodles with any stir fry of vegetables. This dish is especially popular during Chinese New Year when the long noodles symbolize a long life— just beware not to break any of them and ruin your chances. For a gluten-free option use brown-rice or Asian rice noodles.
