Make the salsa from scratch or buy it deli-fresh. Buy canned beans or cook your own. Make this as easy or as ‘from scratch’ as you like. Prepare the brown rice first, since it takes about 45 minutes. Chop up the salsa and set aside. Cook up the black beans and prepare any other toppings you might like. Assemble just as the rice finishes.
