Ground beef seasoned with Mexican spices ready to go into Tacos and more. Substitute ground turkey, bison, or whatever ground meat you may prefer.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (high heat)
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 10 ounces ground beef, or ground turkey or bison
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin, ground
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle pepper, or cayenne or chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat. Drizzle in a splash of oil. Once hot, toss in the minced onions, sauté for about 4-5 minutes until slightly golden. Add in the ground beef and sear until the beef is browned slightly.

Sprinkle in the minced garlic, cumin, chipotle powder/chili/cayenne, and tomato paste. Stir adding a splash of water (or more oil) if the meat is drying out. Add more spices to taste.
