from Asparagus Soup with Smoked Trout and a Roasted Strawberry Salad, the Week of April 24, 2016.
View the previous or next recipe for this meal.

Mmm… Smoky Trout mixed into creaminess. Make this thicker by using all cream cheese or smoother with all strained yogurt or sour cream. You can even make it decadent with creme fraiche.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ cup greek yogurt, or sour cream or creme fraiche
  • 1 tablespoon shallot, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup smoked trout, a few ounces drained

Serving Size: 4 People

Preparation Instructions

Food processor
Pulse together the cream cheese, yogurt/sour cream and the shallot. Once blended, add the drained smoked trout and pulse just a few times until it is combined.

By hand
If the cream cheese is very soft or whipped this will come together quickly. Simply beat the cream cheese, yogurt/sour cream and shallot. Fold in the drained smoked trout until combined.
