View the next recipe for this meal.

Strawberries are minced up with mint or basil and a few tasty extras that bring them altogether. Serve this on fish, chicken or steak for a fresh side sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries, wash and remove stems
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely minced
  • ½ cup mint, or basil
  • 1 lime, zest and juice
  • ½ teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Serving Size: 6 People

Preparation Instructions

Slice the strawberries, stack up and mince. Stack up the mint or basil and roll up like a cigar. Thinly slice. Roughly chop the slices into a mince.

Toss the strawberries and minced mint with the red onion, lime zest, juice, balsamic, salt and black pepper.
