Start reducing the blood orange sauce and browning the butter. Crumble the walnuts into the brown butter. Trim and wash the broccolini- start steaming in a separate pan. In a fourth pan, sear the fish. When the fish is ready your sauces and the broccolini should be good to go. For an extra carbohydrate, pair this with a hearty whole grain bread perfect for scooping up the two different sauces or even a wild rice mixture would be lovely for a gluten-free option.

Blood Orange Fish

Blood orange juice’s magical color looks like deep blackberries, but tastes like a delicate, sweet orange. The juice is reduced to a syrup and simply drizzled on fish. It seems elaborate, but is incredibly simple. If you cannot find blood oranges, you will not be disappointed using regular orange juice. Well, the color will not be quite so brilliant, but just close your eyes when you eat it. ;-)

French bread

Okay. This is not exactly a recipe, but rather sometimes the best pairing for your meal is a crusty loaf of French bread. My family lineage is French, what can I say crusty bread seems more appropriate then not. So, here it is.

Let’s call it a reminder. In addition, here are a few tips on how to store it, keep it fresh, or use it up. Whenever possible try to find those crusty gorgeous whole-grain varieties.
