Cajun Spice Rub

This simple rub turns a regular piece of meat or tofu into something extra special. Adjust the seasonings to your taste. Start with a pinch of cayenne and add more as you are able to tolerate it. This is a simple blend that can be dolled up with extras such as garlic, onion or mustard powders.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika, or plain paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon celery seed, optional
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne, add more to taste

Serving Size: 2 People



 

Preparation Instructions

Place all of the ingredients in a small jar or plastic bag. Shake. Taste. If it is not spicy enough, add a bit more cayenne or white pepper.

Use as you desire on meats, veggies and dips.
