Tomatoes & Basil

This simple topping is a match made in Italian heaven. On toast, pasta, chicken, steak, eggs, veggies this topping will take anything to a new delicious level.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb tomato
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • ½ cup fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt, more or less, to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper, to taste

Serving Size: 2 People



 

Preparation Instructions

Dice the tomatoes. Toss with the minced garlic. Stack up the basil, roll in a cigar. Thinly slice into shreds.

Toss the basil, olive oil, salt and pepper with the tomatoes.

It is delicious fresh or let the flavors meld and enjoy.
