Popcorn- stovetop style

It’s simple. The important part of this recipe is to listen, so stay close to your pot and hear the poppin’ music.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup popcorn, kernels
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • ½ teaspoon salt, more or less to taste

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Grab a pot with a lid and place it over high heat. Add the popcorn kernels and the coconut oil; cover with the lid. As soon as you hear popping, reduce the heat to medium and start shaking.

When the kernels stop popping, count to 10. If you don’t hear another pop, the popcorn is done. (This is especially fun with small children who are learning to count!)

Drizzle on the olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
