Summer

Almond Kissed Peaches

from Summer Squash Pancakes with Peaches, the Week of August 4, 2013.
View the next recipe for this meal.

Fresh sliced peaches are lightly touched with a sprinkle of almonds and almond extract. Amaretto or vanilla could work in a pinch instead.

Ingredients

  • 3 peaches
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted if desired
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract, vanilla or amaretto substitute well instead

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Wash, pat dry and slice the peaches. Toss with the sliced almonds and the extract.

Taste and add more extract or almonds if desired. If your peaches are not sweet enough, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup could help out.
