Kiwi Smoothie

from Kiwi Smoothie and Strawberry Granola, the Week of May 18, 2014.
View the next recipe for this meal.

The texture of this smoothie is particularly fun with the crunchy dots of kiwi seeds. Make it dairy-free by using the cream on top of coconut milk instead or your favorite dairy-free yogurt substitute. Honey is optional. If your fruit is sweet you probably will not need it. Therefore, taste it before adding.

Ingredients

  • ½ banana, chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and cut in chunks
  • ½ cup pineapple, or more kiwi
  • ½ cup plain yogurt, or coconut cream
  • ½ cup orange juice, or pineapple
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional to taste, agave works too

Serving Size: 2 People

Preparation Instructions

Place all of the fruit and yogurt in the blender. Pour in half of the juice. Blend. Add more juice if needed to make it smoother. Taste. Add honey or agave if needed.

Enjoy.
