Sausage Saute

from French Lentils with Sausage & Mascarpone Greens, the Week of December 25, 2016.
View the previous or next recipe for this meal.

Start with your favorite sausage. Cook it in the oven for about 10 minutes. Remove, slice, and saute until cooked through for a simple addition to pastas, soups and to accompany a vegetable feast.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage, 4-5 large links

Serving Size: 4 People

Preparation Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375.

Cook the links for about 10-12 minutes until they are cooked on the outside and starting to become firm.

Allow them to rest for a few minutes.

Using tongs or a fork to hold one end, thinly slice the sausages.

Add them to a saute pan. The residual fat that leaks from them should be enough, but add a splash of olive oil if they begin to stick.

Sear on each side until cooked through. Serve as an appetizer with a fabulous mustard to dip them in or serve with dinner.
