Kale Date Smoothie

Grassy, earthy but temptingly sweet. Just a couple dates, a couple leaves of kale and a generous handful of frozen fruit. Any fruit will do, but fresh seasonal peaches would be lovely mid to late summer. To make this vegan simply substitute the dairy products for almond milk or juice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peach, chunks, bananas or other favorite fruit, frozen
  • ½ cup plain yogurt, or almond milk or juice for dairy free
  • ¾ cup milk, or more as needed, almond milk or juice for dairy-free
  • 2 leaves kale, washed and torn in pieces
  • 2 dates, pits removed

Serving Size: 1 Person



 

Preparation Instructions

Place all of the ingredients in the blender. Whirl around until smooth and a funnel is created in the center for 6 seconds.

Add more liquid as necessary.
